Widow Card—How it should be indexed

This is a sample image of a Widow card. For the image above, the fields would be indexed as follows:

  1. Pension Payment Type: Army Widow
  2. Soldier's or Sailor's Surname: press Ctrl+B to mark this field as Blank
  3. Soldier's or Sailor's Given Names: Daniel S
  4. Recipient's Surname: Doughty
  5. Recipient’s Given Names: Lucenia A
  6. Death Day: press Ctrl+B to mark this field as Blank
  7. Death Month: press Ctrl+B to mark this field as Blank
  8. Death Year: press Ctrl+B to mark this field as Blank

Note that for the image above, you would add two more records for the minor recipients, and index all the fields the same except for the Recipient's Given Names field, which would be indexed as Oliver E for the first record and as Jerry P for the second record.
